The house charter

Revised 2 November 2026

Reading the hall freely

Spruceharbourgames is a free reading site about medieval kingdom and castle strategy games. You can read every page without creating an account, signing up or handing over any details, and nothing is sold here. By using the site you agree to this charter; if you would rather not, simply close the tab.

You are welcome to read, link to and quote short passages from our reviews and guides with a credit to Spruceharbourgames. Please do not republish whole articles or present our writing as your own.

Scores as considered opinion

Every review, ranking and score on Spruceharbourgames is the editorial opinion of our writers after a month of playing the game in question. They reflect our experience at the time of writing, not a guarantee of how a game will play for you.

Games in this genre change constantly through updates, events and balance changes. We revise reviews when we notice a meaningful shift, and we welcome corrections from readers at [email protected].

Leaving for a game’s own gates

The play buttons on our pages open each game’s official website in a new tab. Once you are there, you are on the publisher’s own site, and that publisher’s terms of service and privacy policy apply to your account and your play.

Some of those buttons are partner links that help support the site. They take you to the same official pages as any other link and never change what you pay or how a publisher treats you.

Names, marks and our own work

Game names, logos and related marks belong to their respective owners, and we use them only to identify the games we write about. Screens and material from the games remain the property of their publishers.

The text, illustrations, including Bannock, and the design of Spruceharbourgames are our own work. Please ask before reusing them beyond short quotation with credit.

Keeping the site running

We work to keep the site accurate and available, but pages may occasionally be offline for maintenance or contain an error we have not yet caught. When you spot one, a note to the editors helps everyone.

We may update this charter as the site evolves. The date at the top shows the latest revision, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated version.

The law of the land

This charter is governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute about the site will be handled by the courts of Ontario.

If any part of this charter is found to be unenforceable, the rest continues to apply as written.
